377 Podcast
377 is a beautifully insightful podcast about how India fought an infamous & draconian law affecting the LGBTQ community, by All Things Small, and produced by Ashim D’Silva. The podcast gets deep into the legal aspects of the case and how it unfolded over years. Even with the eventually positive outcome, the pain and societal repurcussions of the law would outlast the law itself.
With that in mind we wanted to create imagery that would feel celebratory but also unnerving. The hammer was a simple and iconic start, immediately acknowledging the legal nature of the podcast, but the motion feels almost violent; on the one hand it’s bursting with neon pride colours, but it’s also bathed in dark & uncertain shadows, all while the typography of 377 crumbles upon itself.
