Fiction’s Got Talent
Illustration done for an editorial article about the rise stars of fiction in books and movies. We thought it would be aptly hilarious to have three modern fiction legends (the Potter trio), to be judges at a parody show like America’s Got Talent.
This painting was done entirely in Photoshop, and it was one of the first times I started playing with dramatic lighting and blending modes like Colour Dodge, which have become a sort of staple in my work now. If you look at the process images you’ll see how the colour layers are blended into the black and white layer – a trick lots of digital artists use so they can keep hues and values separate.
